The Children's Auditory Research and Evaluation (CARE) Center of the House Research Institute is located on the first floor of the House Research Institute building (across from St. Vincent Medical Center on the corner of Third and Alvarado Streets in Los Angeles).
We are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily (except weekends and holidays).

If you are visiting the CARE Center for the first time, please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete any paperwork. Provide if possible, copies of any pertinent test results, medical reports, audiological and speech/language evaluations. The representative who schedules your appointment will inform you if anything is required.
A 48-hour advance cancellation notice is requested.
Care is provided on a fee-for-service basis. Private insurance companies or other third party payors, such as Medi-Cal or California Children's Services will be billed as requested. Patients' parents or guardians are responsible for all costs not covered by insurance. A CARE Center representative will advise on costs, forms and payment procedures.
Parking: There is subterranean parking available. We do not validate parking. The rates are: first fifteen (15) minutes is free; $0.75 per 1/2 hour with a $5.00 maximum. Parking on the street is also available.
